Questions for One

Over the years, I've come up with a list of questions that you should ask yourself before you commit to the right life partner. I remember discussing this with my friend. He asked me to send them over. These are the questions.

  1. Do I become more like myself around her?
  2. When we are dead broke, and in a one bedroom with absolutely nothing, am I going to have fun with this person? Do I enjoy her presence?
  3. Is this person loyal? That is, when shit hits the fan, will they be there for me?
  4. Can I make this girl happy? Can I make her laugh?
  5. Can this person be my best friend? Are they similar to the best friends I have? Will she get along with my best friends?
  6. Do I want to become one with this person? Do they complete me?
  7. Am I fascinated by her? Do I like her so much that I can forgo all the other women and fall more in love with her everyday?
  8. Can I imagine digging a ditch with her? No matter how bad the circumstance, will we be able to stick together and smile through it?
  9. The most important thing: does she see me and love me for who I am?

We all have these requirements we look for in a life partner. Height, body, hair, etc. Maybe this question list is one of these requirements. But when you're truly in love? It doesn't matter. You just adore her.
